While I was setting up my camera and tripod for the sunset and a few 'blue hour' shots before the stars came out, this family showed up and started taking photos of themselves right in the middle of my frame. I went ahead and took a few shots of them anyway, and this one happened to be where the guy stood below a tiny sliver of the crescent moon

I'm very excited that I'm going to be a part of a new exhibition - "Setúbal Sublime: Six Photographic Perspectives" - running from 11 January to 1 February 2023, featuring a number of other local 'Setúbalense' photographers @zarcospalma @jorgesanto_photography @ruijvpinto1  @josemauriciophotography @hobithappens , showcasing our work at @crespaco.portugal gallery in the charming centre of Setúbal! I am honoured to have a few of my works showcased alongside other brilliant photographers, a few of I've met recently, including the gallery owner @hobithappens.

All the photographers will be at the opening night on Saturday, 14 January from 4pm to 7pm (yes, there will be wine, and nibbles). If you're in the Lisbon or Setúbal area (or anywhere in Portugal for that matter), please come and take a look and support us! It would be deeply appreciated.

At low tide, the fishing piers are just jut out of the mud and all the boats just sit directly on the ground, giving it a bit of a post-apocalyptic feel to it.

Cais Palafítico da Carrasqueira. A network of wooden jetties used by local fishermen. At low tide, the muddy ground is exposed. It appears a new boardwalk was recently built, with modern lighting. Quite a contrast to the old wooden stilts and rickety piers branching off it.
